Extra charges can occur when a carburetor has missing parts, or needs parts not normally found in a master repair kit. An electric choke is an example.
When sending in throttle bodies to be repaired, please be sure to send only the throttle body, otherwise we have to rebuild the carburetor. WARNING! While unusual, trying to repair a throttle can crack, or break the throttle body.
We do not rebuild computer controlled carburetors, airplane, or propane carburetors.
Great care is taken to make sure your carburetor has the correct parts and that everything is set to manufactures specifications. We do not mass produce rebuilt carburetors.
We use ultrasonic cleaning, which is environmentally safe and cleans the small passages other cleaners miss. No harsh chemicals are used. Carburetor dipping solvents that are typically bought at parts stores can degrade carburetor surfaces. Carburetors are getting to be 30 years old and older. We need to be more careful about how we treat the carburetor surface.
Surfaces are checked for flatness and trued where needed.
Carburetors are colorized to the original color. This is either bronze, or silver. This is not the same as anodizing your carburetor, but they do look great when completed. We get a lot of remarks on how good our carburetors look.
All carburetors are wet tested to insure there are no leaks before shipping. When possible we test your carburetor on a real engine to make sure they perform as required. Once tested, your carburetor should be installed and used within 30 days. Carburetors should not be stored for any length of time once gasoline has been introduced.
